Little Quack on the cover of the S & S Spring Catalog!

Derek's cover illustration for his next book, Little Quack's Hide and Seek, was chosen as the cover of the Spring 2004 Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing catalog!

The catalog includes all books planned for publication by Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing between January and April of 2004. Their imprints include Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers, Atheneum, Little Simon, and Margaret K. McElderry Books among others.

Little Quack's Hide and Seek, written by Lauren Thompson (Derek illustrated) is the follow up to the New York Times Bestseller, Little Quack and will be published in February 2004.
